The chimborazo is the highest volcano in the world due to its terrestrial rotation, at the top of chimborazo you can see that is completely covered by glaciers, with snow tongues that descend to 4600 meters northwest. Its glacier is the source of water for nearby populations, this froms a protected ecosystem to preserve the habitat of the native camelids of the Andes. The Chimborazo is the most distant point in the world if measured from the center of the center of the earth, surpassing everest with a little more than 2 kilometers.

Day 1

  • Departure from Quito towards Chimborazo Wildlife Reserve
  • Arrival at the Hermanos Carrel refuge at 4800m
  • At the refuge organization and technical information

Day 2

  • Ascent Chimborazo to the summit at 6268m
  • Descent to the refuge at 4800m
  • At the refuge we will take time to rest, eat and hydrate
  • Return to Quito or to your destination
